Available Volunteer Positions

Office/Clerical - Mon-Fri 9-5 & Sat 2-4
Answering phone, filing, data entry, and customer service

Cat Room Cleaning/feeding Mon-Sun 9-11

Dog Kennel Cleaning/feeding Mon-Fri 9-12 & 3-5 & Sat & Sun 9-12 & 4-6

Walking Dogs  Mon-Fri 9-11 & 3-5 & Sat & Sun 9-11 & 4-6

Grooming Dogs Mon-Sun 9-11

Rescue Transport Time/day vary as needed
2-4 hour one way trips, crates and some gas money provided, van may be provided if needed

Animal Control Rescue Mon-Fri  (scheduled w/ AC Officer)
Taking digital photos of animals at animal control and putting them on the internet & handle animal health issues, animal behavior evaluations, assist Rescue/Transport Coor. as needed up to 3 *times a week, 2 hour intervals during the times of 8-4.

General Cleaning & Laundry Mon-Sun 9-11
Cleaning office and all indoor areas of the shelter and do all laundry.

Fundraising As Scheduled
Organize/participate in ongoing crucial fundraising programs/events. All ideas welcome, small or large funding!

Construction/ General Labor Will schedule as you are available
Sheet rock, tiling, trim, painting, etc. needed for free-roaming cat room construction

Adoption Events As Scheduled
Events are as far away as Fairview Heights and as close as DuQuoin. Actual event time is no more than 4 hours. Must be able to transport 2-3 dogs and 2 cats to and from event and be able to talk to prospective adopters and have them fill out appropriate paperwork.
